The Wheatsheaf at Corston had just come through a full renovation when I shot it. The new owners had taken a tired village pub and turned it into something dark, warm and considered - far removed from the bright, generic pub photography that tends to flatten this kind of space.

The brief was to build a library of images that reflected the atmosphere they'd created rather than just documenting the rooms. Everything was shot to feel lived-in - the fire, the low light, the details that make a renovated pub feel like it's been there for years.
