About Copland Photography
I’m Gary, the photographer behind Copland Photography. I creating honest, modern imagery for hospitality, interiors and design-led businesses across Bath, Bristol and the South West.
My work is shaped by a documentary eye and refined for commercial use, photography that feels natural and real, while still looking polished, considered and useful. Whether I’m photographing a hotel, restaurant, kitchen project or branded space, the aim is always the same: to create imagery that helps your business look its best and work harder across your website, social media, PR and marketing.
I’m most at home photographing spaces and the details that bring them to life. That might be a beautifully designed hotel, a restaurant with real atmosphere, a kitchen project that deserves to be shown properly, or the quieter brand moments around the edges, materials, light, texture, process, team and service.
The goal is never just to create attractive images. It’s to give businesses a strong set of photographs they can actually use: on their website, across social media, in PR, in marketing campaigns, and anywhere first impressions matter.
How I work
I work in a calm, unobtrusive way. I’m naturally observant, detail-focused and easy to have around, which suits the kind of environments I photograph. Whether I’m shooting interiors, brand content or a mix of both, I aim to make the process feel straightforward from start to finish.
Before the shoot, we get clear on what the images need to do and where they’ll be used. On the day, I work efficiently and quietly, balancing polished hero shots with the smaller supporting details that help a set feel complete and useful.
The end result is a consistent gallery of high-quality imagery with a clean, timeless feel — photographs that help your business look more considered, more professional and more confident online.
